Abstract

The results of epicardial radiofrequency ablation of anatomic zone ganglionic plexi of the left atrium during CABG of patients with coronary heart disease and atrial fibrillation are analyzed. From 2009 to 2012 RF ablation procedure was performed in 92 patients with atrial fibrillation and coronary artery disease. Depending on the form of AF the patients were randomized into three groups. The mean follow-up was 14.4±9.6 months (from 3 до 36 months). Freedom from AF during 24 months after surgery was 78.6% for patients with paroxysmal AF, 42.5% for patients with persistent AF and 39% for patients with long-term persistent AF.
