Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate the clinical-echocardiographic results of isolated myocardial revascularization and mitral annuloplasty in patients with I-II Grade ischemic mitral regurgitation and in patients without left ventricle (LV) dilatation. Preoperative baseline clinical-echocardiographic parameters were analysed in 69 patients with ischemic valve insufficiency. After coronary shunting and restrictive mitral ring annuloplasty, monitoring of echocardiographic parameters and the clinical profile of patients was carried out for 12 months. According to the results of our research, there is no conclusive evidence in favor of supplementary intervention on MV in addition to myocardial revascularization in case of the absence of considerable preoperative changes in MV (significant annuloectasia, changes of cusp coaptation), subvalvular structures and LV systolic function.
