Abstract

Cardiovascular surgery, like any science, is continually evolving. The main characteristics of its development are the availability of care to the population and decreasing of morbidity and mortality. To this end, Russia has established a system of reporting, which is implemented through the activities of the chief experts. According to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Siberian Federal District in terms of reducing the incidence of cardiovascular disease is one of the best in Russia. The review presents data from the annual report of the chief cardio-vascular surgeon of the Siberian Federal District.
