Abstract

This clinical case looks at an atrioventricular shunting procedure in a 10-year-old patient with abdominal comorbidity (ulcerative colitis) who underwent multiple interventions. When placing the atrioventricular shunt, some anatomical features in the internal jugular vein were noted. According to clinical/neurological and instrumental examination, the postoperative period proceeded with improvement in the patient’s status.
