Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) is a bibliographic multidisciplinary database of scientific publications in Russian. It is a project of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Scientific Electronic Library (eLibrary) and the Clarivate Analytics. The Russian Academy of Sciences carries out the examination and evaluation of the content of publications. eLibrary provides materials. Clarivate Analytics carries out the access to the interface of the Web of Science.
The working group on the evaluation and selection of publications in RSCI on the Web of Science decides to include or exclude the journal in RSCI. When considering an application, the working group takes into account bibliometric indicators, expert opinion, publishing ethics, relevance of the submitted material, uniform format, authority of the editorial board.
On April 5, 2020, the working group on the evaluation and selection of publications in RSCI on the Web of Science published an updated list of journals included in RSCI. The list consists of 792 journals, including Patologiya krovoobrashcheniya i kardiokhirurgiya.

Russian Science Citation Index is a regional database along with SciELO Citation Index, Chinese Science Citation Database and KCI Korean Journal Database. More than 5 thousand journals from all over the world are represented in the regional databases of the Web of Science.
